Kulkki Sarbath/ how to make kulki sarbath

Makes : 2 Ingredients Lemon juice - 2 to 3 tbsp Sabja seeds - 1/2 tbsp Mint leaves - 5 Lemon slice - 2 Sugar - 8 tbsp Ice cubes Green chilli Water - 2 cups Method Make sugar syrup using 8 tbsp sugar and 10 tbsp water. Allow it to cool to room temperature Soak sabja seeds in half a cup of water for 10 min In a shaker / a container / a cup , take the lemon juice , sugar syrup , sabja seeds , mint leaves , ice cubes , green chilli and remaining water and shake it vigorously for 2 to 3 min In a serving glass pour the mix and add a piece of lemon slice at top and serve chill Note I am using a cocktail shaker . Coconut cookies (Eggless)

Ingredients Maida/ all purpose flour- 1 cup Butter - 50 gm Sugar - 1/2 cup (unpowdered) Vanilla extract - 1 tsp Salt - a pinch Baking powder - 1/2 tsp Milk - 4 to 5 tbsp Dessicated coconut - 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp How to make Powder the sugar and set aside Dry mix the maida , salt and baking powder . Sieve it . Keep aside In a bowl add the butter .Beat it or whisk it till it is fluffy .Add the powdered sugar.Add the vanilla essence . Now add the 3/4 cup of dessicated coconut and mix it with a spatula.A Add the maida mix and combine it gently with hands .Add about 4 to 5 tbsp of milk .Mix it well with hands (not necessary to make it to a smooth dough) Preheat the oven at 180 c for 10 min In a tray , keep a parchment paper. Make small balls slighly flatten it, dust dessicated coconut and keep it in the tray. Leave adequate space between each . Bake for 20 to 25 min. PARUPPU VADAI / MASALA VADAI

Makes : 10 vada Ingredients Chana dal - 1 cup Onion - 1 Green chilli - 3 Curry leaves Fennel seeds - 1 tsp Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp Salt - as per taste Oil - To fry Method: Wash chana dal (kadala paruppu) and soak well for 2 hours Drain the water and take the chana dal in a mixie jar. Add chopped onion , green chilli (chopped), curry leaves , chilli powder , salt and fennel seeds . Grind it coarsely .Dont add water In a kadai take oil and heat it. Make small balls flatten it and put it in the medium heated oil. Just flip it once a side is cooked Once cooked , take it out drain the excess oil and put it in a tissue . Serve hot with tea
