Mukkani payasam/Mango jackfruit banana payasam

Kappa biriyani/Homemade kappa biriyani /Kerala beef and kappa dish


Ingredients
Tapioca - 1 kg
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp +2 tsp
Salt 
Water 
Beef -500 g to 600 g (after cleaning)
Big Onion -2 ( medium )
Small onion -10 nos
Ginger garlic paste -2 tbsp
Green chilli -2 
Curry leaves -1 speig
Tomato -1/4 cup chopped 
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder -3 tsp
Garam masala powder -1 tsp
Black pepper powder -1/2 tsp
Fennel powder -1/4 tsp
Coriander powder -1 tsp
Coconut oil -3 tbsp

How to make 
  1. Peel the tapioca and cut it into medium cubes 
  2. In a pot add water , once boiled add the cubed tapioca.Once half done drain the water and add boiling water , 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and required salt to the tapioca .Cook until it's soft 
  3. Drain it and mash with a help of spoon or masher .Set aside 
  4. In a pressure cooker add the beef , turmeric powder, salt , shallots ,1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
  5. Cook until it's tender . Pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles 
  6. Heat coconut oil in a large pan 
  7. Add the curry leaves and green chilli 
  8. Add sliced onion , saute it for 5 min and add the remaining ginger garlic paste.Cook till the raw smell goes 
  9. Add the tomatoes and cook until it's soft 
  10. Now add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, black pepper powder,fennel powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder 
  11. Cook for 3 min at low heat 
  12. Add the cooked meat to the masala mix and cook 
  13. Add the mashed tapioca to the beef mixture ,mix it gently 
  14. Check for salt and cook it at low flame for 5 min 
  15. Add fresh curry leaves and drizzle some coconut oil for the final touch
