KUZHI PANIYARAM/ UNNIYAPPAM

 Sweet kuzhi paniyaram is a traditional homemade snack made with rice , banana ,jaggery etc commonly found in south Indian kitchen.These paniyarams are perfect for kids snack box .Cooker slowly in a kuzhi paniyaram pan , these bite sized treats are comfortable, flavourful and a healthier snack option .

Ingredients
Raw rice -1 cup
Jaggery -3/4 cup
Banana -1
Wheat flour - 1 tbsp 
Cardamon powder -1/2 tsp
Salt 
Water 
Oil

How to make
  1. Wash and soak the raw rice for 3 hours 
  2. In a mixie jar , add the soaked rice , banana , jaggery, water and grind it .
  3. Now add the wheat flour , cardamon powder and salt 
  4. Adjust the consistency such that the batter should be thick and of pouring consistency 
  5. Transfer the batter to a bowl and allow it to rest for 6 to 8 hours 
  6. After 6 to 8 hours , heat a kuzhi paniyaranm pan .Add oil / ghee in each hole , heat it .
  7. Pour batter till 3/4 full
  8. Cook on medium flame ,flip and cook till both sides are done 
  9. Serve hot with tea or coffee
